Wendy Kenyon
Wendy is part of the socio-economic research group, but also works closely with colleagues in the catchment management group. She has a PhD from the University of Edinburgh, an MSc from University College London and a BA (Hons) from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. In the past, Wendy has worked at the Institute of Development Studies (University of Sussex) and the Scottish Agricultural College (Edinburgh). She has also been seconded to the central research unit of the Scottish Executive, and the Scottish Parliament Information Centre (SPICe) in Holyrood. Wendy is based in Edinburgh.
Current research interests
Wendy has a background in environmental and ecological economics, with an emphasis on environmental valuation and multi-criteria analysis. She also has experience of participatory research and practice. The theme of her research in recent years has centred around the socio-economics of water management in theory, policy and practice. Wendy's recent and current research relates to flood risk management, and natural flood management measures in particular.
