Dundee Roots Group: Workshop & 2016 ISRR Medal Lecture in Root Research

This one-day event organised by the Dundee Roots Group and held at the James Hutton Institute in Dundee, is aimed at scientists interested in root research and the plant-soil interface and will feature the 2016 ISRR Medal Lecture on Root Research by Professor Peter Gregory, University of Reading.

The meeting will focus on vegetation reinforcement of soil (morning), and wider root-soil interactions (afternoon).

Keynotes of the meeting include: 

  • Dr Mao Zhun (University of Montpellier), speaking on roots as tools for reinforcing soil slopes in the Alps;
  • Professor Peter Gregory (University of Reading), giving the 2016 ISRR Dundee Root Medal Lecture on deep-rooting and dwarfing.
