Open Farm Sunday 2013

The James Hutton Institute will be opening its doors to the public for LEAF Open Farm Sunday on 9 June. There will be a range of activities on offer throughout the day including:

  • farm machinery and operations
  • tractor tours
  • farm walks
  • science exhibits on the theme of sustainable farm management.

Open Farm Sunday aims to connect people to the farms where their food comes from and enable them to find out more about how it is produced. Farms all over the country open their doors for the event.

The James Hutton Research Institute is the result of the merger in April 2011 of MLURI and SCRI. This merger formed a new powerhouse for research into food, land use, and climate change.
