Plant Power Day is a free drop-in event for visitors of all ages who will have the opportunity to meet scientists from the University of Dundee Division of Plant Sciences and the James Hutton Institute and learn about the fascinating world of plants on Sunday 20 May 2018.

The event will take place in the beautiful setting of Dundee Botanic Gardens, from 11 am to 4 pm.

We have a number of exciting activities for children, young and old, to participate in during the event including games and crafting to learn about genetics and plant pathogens, a botany adventure trail, raspberry DNA isolation, and much more.

Plant Power is an exciting day filled with family fun; come and experience the fascinating power of plants.

The James Hutton Research Institute is the result of the merger in April 2011 of MLURI and SCRI. This merger formed a new powerhouse for research into food, land use, and climate change.
