"With such a highly skilled and diverse workforce, the James Hutton Institute was seen as the ideal organisation to help build our Talent Ambassador Network"

The experiences of three Hutton members of staff who have chosen Scotland as a place to live and work have been highlighted by their designation as Talent Ambassadors by TalentScotland, part of Scottish Enterprise, the country’s economic development agency.

Dr Isabelle Colas (Cell and Molecular Sciences), Dr Jagadeesh Yeluripati (Information and Computational Sciences) and Bernardo Rodriguez-Salcedo (Communications) are now part of a network of skilled international professionals from around the world who have chosen to live in Scotland.

The network enables Talent Ambassadors to share their experiences about working and living in the country with peers abroad, as well as network with fellow international Ambassadors and help promote Scotland’s competitiveness in the global market.

Dr Yeluripati said: “Scotland is a beautiful, friendly and welcoming country, and it is a huge pleasure to help promote it. There is an awareness in society about other cultures and sensitivities, which helps newcomers settle and enjoy a good quality of life.”

A TalentScotland spokesperson added: “Isabelle, Jagadeesh and Bernardo have shown fantastic passion and energy in promoting Scotland as an outstanding place to live, work and invest. This is highlighted in their live and work in Scotland videos which have helped us enormously in promoting Scotland as a career destination and also goes a long way in helping us change the perception of Scotland as a career destination.

“With such a highly skilled and diverse workforce, the James Hutton Institute was seen as the ideal organisation to help build our Talent Ambassador Network. Isabelle, Jagadeesh and Bernardo are valuable members of the Talent Ambassador network.”
