Fraser is a Research Software Engineer at the James Hutton Institute with a specialisation in Image Processing and Computer Vision. He graduated from the University of Strathclyde in June 2017 with a 1st Class BEng (Hons) in Electronic and Electrical Engineering and commenced his PhD at the same institution later that year where his research focussed on algorithm development and efficient processing of hyperspectral image data for remote sensing applications.

Current research interests

Currently Fraser's research is focussed on applying computer vision and deep learning techniques to bioinformatic, geoinformatics, and phenotyping applications among other areas where necessitated.
