Carbohydrates, which represent the main source of dietary energy, can potentially affect human health and the risk of chronic disease. The aim of the Nutrition Society Summer Meeting 2014 is to explore the contribution of cereals, and related products rich in carbohydrate, in feeding the world’s population.
The meeting takes place at the University of Glasgow from 14-17 July and will focus on four main themes.
Researchers from the James Hutton Institute will speak at two of the sessions:
The meeting is open to both members and non-members of the Nutrition Society and there are special rates for students. Full details and booking information can be found on the Nutrition Society Summer Meeting 2014 web page [3].
