Brown Forest Soils

Brown Forest Soil profileDistribution of Brown Forest Soils [1] These soils are among the most fertile in Scotland and comprise some of Scotland's most productive agricultural land, primarily in the east and south of the country. In the west, they support areas of important semi-natural woodlands and provide sheltered areas for productive commercial forestry.
