The James Hutton Institute was launched on 1 April 2011 and we have a brand new website to share its science. On the website you can find information about our research themes [1], the history of the Institute [2] and its predecessors, our commercial activities [3] and watch an interview with Chief Executive Professor Iain Gordon [4].
Farmers and industry representatives will find details of our annual field events Cereals in Practice [5], Fruit for the Future [6] and Potatoes in Practice [7]. All our other forthcoming events [8] are also featured.
Students and teachers can discover useful resources [9] and members of the general public are sure to find something of interest in our image galleries [10], outreach activities [11] or online games [12].
The James Hutton Institute [13] brings together the Macaulay Land Use Research Institute [14] and SCRI (Scottish Crop Research Institute) [15]. Over the coming months we will be busy updating the website as the work of the new institute progresses.
