Kerry Mackay of the University of Aberdeen will deliver this seminar "Woody debris and freshwater invertebrates" as part of the Aberdeen Entomological Club series.
It will focus on the effects of woody debris in streams.
Some river management groups advocate the addition of woody debris to waterways; others remove debris accumulations. The effects of woody debris accumulations in streams have been investigated for Ephemeroptera, Plecoptera and Trichoptera (EPT) larvae in six Aberdeenshire streams.
The talk starts at 4pm and light refreshments are available from 3.30pm.
