The James Hutton Institute operates a range of different meteorological sites throughout Scotland which record weather data all year round.

Dundee Weather Station

The meteorological site at the Dundee site of the James Hutton Institute, just to the west of the city at Invergowrie, has been recording weather data for over 50 years. It has one of the longest running continuous meteorological databases relevant to agriculture in the UK. It is in the process of being converted to an automatic weather station. Automatic weather recording equipment at GlensaughGlensaugh Weather Station

The automatic weather station at the Institute's Glensaugh Research Station [2] is part of the long term monitoring study, Environmental Change Network (ECN), which aims to identify environmental changes and to distinguish short-term fluctuations from long term trends.
