Leading scientists and industry experts will be joining forces at AHDB’s Crop Research Conference to discuss how a better scientific understanding of pests, weeds and diseases can lead to practical crop protection tools for growers. Future research priorities will also be up for discussion following the recent publication of the Government’s AgriTech Strategy [1].
The conference features three presentation sessions:
At the conference Professor Paul Birch [2], University of Dundee Division of Plant Sciences/ James Hutton Institute, will give a talk on "Phytophthora pathogenomics and disease resistance" and Dr Alison Karley [3], James Hutton Institute, will speak on "Plant, insect and microbe interactions and insect population ecology".
