The 17th annual conference of Grampian Information with the theme 'The digital tomorrow…today' will be hosted at the James Hutton Institute in Aberdeen on 7 November 2013.
The speakers will address different aspects of the digital future and how technology will continue to transform lives and the services which we provide.
Dughall McCormick is an Educational Consultant working with schools in the UK and has a background of many years in the primary classroom. He is involved in working to support schools’ use of technologies for innovation and creativity. He is particularly interested in the use of technology in the classroom and games-based learning and believes passionately in the role of technology to facilitate innovation and transformation in education.
Liz McGettigan has been Head of Libraries and Information Services, Edinburgh Council and has pioneered the transformation of Edinburgh’s libraries into key information, digital, learning, and business hubs for communities across the city. The service was Best UK Public Library in 2012. Prior to joining Edinburgh, she was Business Development Manager for TALIS. She is also a Trustee of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals.
