The NCC Sand Dune Survey of Scotland which took place from 1975-1977 has since been digitised and is currently being used for two projects.
- We are investigating whether management and vegetation change is related to the changes in wader numbers on the machair of North Uist and Benbecula which included interviewing crofters to document land use changes.
- Vegetation change in dunes is being modelled to identify relationships with drivers of change.
