UK Alpine Ecology Network

The UK Alpine Ecology Network was formed in 2018 as a means of bringing together scientists, conservationists and land managers with an interest in the ecology of alpine ecosystems across the UK. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in UK alpine ecosystems. Please contact us to be added to our distribution list.

The UK Alpine Ecology Network aims to provide a forum for the discussion of issues and research needs around UK alpine ecosystems and to promote the exchange of ideas and information between scientists and practitioners. We held our first knowledge exchange workshop at the James Hutton Institute in Aberdeen in January 2018. The report of the workshop can be downloaded here (link to report). We also maintain a list of recent publications and current research projects related to alpine ecology in the UK. If you would like to contribute information on publications or projects please contact us .
