Current responsibilities

I oversee management of the media kitchen, which services the Dundee site with laboratory consumables such as growth media and sterile equipment. This constitutes around 50% of my time, with the remainder spent working alongside Dr Scott Johnson and Dr Roy Neilson. In this capacity, I assist with invertebrate research, focussing on multi-trophic interactions with Scott and nematology with Roy. I also manage the insect culture facilities at the James Hutton Institute and assist with the processing of samples from the aphid suction trap.
