December 2023 27 We took a stand at the Game Fair at Scone Palace to engage with those with an interest in land use matters and we exhibited at the Future Farming Expo in Aberdeen, which was a new event showcasing latest developments in technology, policy and practice in agriculture. We finished off the events season with a stand at British Potato in November where we showcased our Commonwealth Potato Collection and continued to raise the profile of the NPIC and the TB Macaulay Lecture, more about which can be found on page 8. Add to that a steady stream of political visits over the Autumn including the Leader of the Scottish Conservatives Douglas Ross; the Icelandic Minister for Food, Agriculture and Fisheries, Svandis Svavarsdottir; the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Scotland, John Lamont and former UK Government Minister for Science, Innovation and Technology George Freeman. Work is already starting now for next year which will include a repeat of this year’s successful participation in Climate Week North East at Glensaugh in the spring and the much-anticipated grand opening of our new home to the IBH and APGC, which is funded through the Tay Cities Region Deal and will formally open late 2024. Details of our events will be available soon on our website.
