Staff profiles

The James Hutton Institute employs a wide range of people working together in a variety of roles and disciplines. Our science is being used in a way that affects policy and decision making, makes people change their behaviours or sees new products coming to the marketplace.

Many of the issues we research are global in nature, but are issues that have to be managed locally. Much of the research that we carry out in Scotland is directly applicable to a wider global context with the aim of securing sustainable use of our land, tackling food and energy security, protecting biodiversity, and managing the ways climate change will affect the way we use land and grow crops.

Our career profiles feature some of our staff to help highlight the many possibilities of working with us.
