Map showing Arable Land and Improved Grassland [1] Improved pasture has species of grass and clover of high grazing value and are generally established by reseeding and maintained by grazing control and use of lime and fertilizers. The land is generally enclosed by walls, fences or hedges. Between this feature and land that is classed as arable the distinction both on the ground and on air photos is imprecise.
