Benjamin is an Honorary Associate of the James Hutton Institute. His research applies data-driven approaches to explore soil datasets, primarily focusing upon mineralogicl and chemical data. These multivariate approaches include data mining [2], cluster analysis [3], compositional data analysis, and high throughput mineral quantification [4], which together can be used to elucidate the role of minerals in defining the geochemical properties of soil.
