To optimise the potential of Scotland’s natural assets we must build on existing work and continually improve our knowledge.

To optimise the potential of Scotland’s natural assets and provide local responses to global change, we must build on existing work and continually improve our knowledge to support strategic needs and enable well informed decision making. As part of this we need to create and manage long term data sets on our environmental resources to provide the background information allowing such decisions to be made.
