Fruit for the Future 2015

Fruit for the Future is aimed at farmers, agronomists, representatives of the food and drink industries, scientists and others interested in soft fruit. The event is organised by the James Hutton Institute and sponsored by SSCR.
Attendees will be able to:
- hear seminars on current issues and research
- view demos and trade stands
- take part in the fruit walk and tour of trial plots
- taste the latest selections from the raspberry breeding programme
- network with colleagues, suppliers and industry experts
Programme
- 1.00pm: Registration and networking. Tea and coffee will be available on arrival
- 1.30pm: Welcome and seminars
- 3.00pm: Cream tea, exhibits and networking
- 4.00pm: Fruit walk and plot tour
- 5.30pm: SSCR prize draw

- "Novel approaches to weed control in fruit crops" - Harriet Roberts, ADAS
- "Understanding raspberry using 'Omics' technologies" - Julie Graham, James Hutton Institute
- "Interactions between belowground organisms and pollinators in soft fruit production" - Peter Orrell, James Hutton Institute

Attendance at this event is FREE and early booking is recommended. While advance booking is not essential, it does speed up the registration process on the day. There are several ways you can register:
