Water Works competition August winner
The August winner of our monthly schools photographic competition Water Works is 15-year-old Julian Scott from Dundee.
Describing his photograph entitled "Puddle" Julian said: "It was bucketing it down, but that didn't stop us going outdoors. In the picture you can see my friend Mat 'diving' into a puddle on a scooter. It just shows you: when its raining don't just sit indoors and watch TV, get out there and enjoy it (while it lasts)!"
Judging his entry this month's winner the judges said: "A dynamic image which captures both the movement of the scooter and the sense that rain can still be enjoyed, in the right circumstances"
All the August entries can be seen on our Facebook gallery page.
There are now just four months left of our Water Works competition and Scottish school children are invited to enter their photographs depicting water in Scotland to be in with a chance of winning. Full details of the competition and how to enter can be found here. A winner will be chosen each month as well as an overall winner for the year who will receive vouchers and a canvas print of their photograph.
The Water Works competition is being run by CREW, the Centre of Expertise for Waters.
