Biography
Raynae Dumpfrey is a Research Scientist at the James Hutton Institute. She sits within the Social, Economic and Geographical Sciences department and apart of the People-Environment Interactions research group. With a PhD in Psychology jointly from the University of Surrey and the Università degli Studi di Milano Bicocca, her work is rooted in environmental psychology but leverages psychometric principles, behaviour change approaches, and sustainability questions. She specializes in advanced quantitative methods, including dynamic SEM and time-series modeling. Raynae is particularly interested in how contact with nature influences behaviour and wellbeing, and is passionate about always asking, “how could our methods be improved”?
