Timothy Pittaway

Tim is a Social Researcher in Rural Digitalisation within James Hutton Institute, working in the Social, Economic and Geographical Sciences Group (SEGS) department. SEGS represents the fields of economics, geography, politics, sociology, anthropology, and psychology.

Tim has a background in rural agriculture; sustainable livelihoods; agricultural technology; small-scale farming, and food security. He has been involved with Erasmus+ and Horizon programmes, which have provided collaborative and research experience with UK and European institutions.

Dr Stuart Ramage

Stuart is a PhD researcher affiliated with the Environmental and Biochemical Sciences group at the James Hutton Institute and the School of Engineering at Robert Gordon University (RGU), Aberdeen. He completed a BSc (Hons) in Forensic & Analytical Science at RGU in 2019. Stuart began his PhD at the James Hutton Institute in October 2019 working on microplastics in the terrestrial environment.

Dr. Carol-Ann Craig

I have a background both geochemistry and environmental analysis where I spent my postgraduate years developing technical methods for the accurate and precise analysis of geological (rocks, fossils, waters) and environmental (waters, plant, animal) materials using mass spectrometry. I specialised in looking at the isotopic signature of rocks and minerals using Thermal Ionisation Mass Spectrometer (TIMS) and Multi Collector-Inductively Coupled Plasma-Mass Spectrometry (MC-ICP-MS).
