NEWBIE Award 2021 - Applications open

Applications are open for the NEWBIE UK Award 2021.

Have you set up your farming business in the last 2-10 years? Are you a new entrant farmer in the UK who would like the opportunity to win €500 towards training or an (inter)national visit? The award winner will also receive an award plaque, farm video, and opportunity to participate in the final NEWBIE conference with other award winners. The European Commission funded NEWBIE project (New Entrant netWork: Business models for Innovation, entrepreneurship and resilience in European agriculture) offers the award to new entrants in 8 European countries. It is part of a suite of opportunities aiming to help new entrants’ network and develop successful businesses. Our previous UK winners were Lynbreck Croft and Tomnah’a Market Garden who spent their winnings on an international visit and on on-farm design training.

HOW TO ENTER?

If interested, please send us a short video (maximum 2 minutes) telling us about you and your business. Feel free to be as innovative as you like with the format, and recording the video on your phone is fine. The award winner will be selected by members of our NEWBIE  UK steering committee. The closing date for applications is 31st August 2021.

Closing Date: 31st August 2021

Please send your short video applications and any queries to Rachel.creaney@hutton.ac.uk, using https://wetransfer.com/ if required.
