Antonio is native from Mexico where he studied a BA in Political Science from Universidad de las Américas Puebla. He holds a Master by Research and a PhD in Science and Technology Studies from the University of Edinburgh. His dissertation looked into the processes through which the environment is quantified and the ethical, justice, governance and inequality issues that arise from them.

He currently works on projects around human - environment relations, in particular on issues around around circular economy, natural capital, peatland restoration. He is also certified to design and facilitate workshops around environmental issues.

Prior to joining Hutton, Antonio worked at the City of Monterrey (Mexico) as Chief of Staff where he coordinated the publication of the city´s SDGs Local Voluntary Report. He has also worked at the Yale Center for Environmental Law and Policy, and the Uppsala Department of Peace and Conflict Research. He has also been a visiting researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law.
