Dr. Peter Cock

I joined the Institute in 2008, where I have been doing comparative genetics and other bioinformatics work. The common theme has been plant pathogens, covering multiple kingdowms of life from viruses to nematodes (for example, a project to sequence the potato cyst nematode Globodera pallida, an economically important plant pest here in Scotland).

David Cooke

First Class Honours Graduate in Agricultural Botany, University of Wales Aberystwyth.

PhD Plant Pathology, University of Wales Aberystwyth.

Employed at the Institute since 1994 as a project leader in plant pathology.

Tim Daniell

Currently a Honorary Associate of the Ecological Sciences programme at the James Hutton Institute and an honorary lecturer at Dundee University teaching Microbial Ecology, I have held postdoctoral positions at York, Lancaster and Durham Universities after completing a PhD at Warwick University and degree at Nottingham University.

Frank Wright

Biography:

MSc in Operational Research, University of Sussex.

Teaching qualification in Mathematics and Computing, Moray House, Edinburgh.

PhD in Molecular Evolution, University of Edinburgh.

Joined BioSS in 1989, based at Dundee since 1998.
