James Hutton Institute to present Environmental Leadership award

Environmental science is at the heart of research at the James Hutton Institute
"The Institute is one of the world’s leading scientific research organisations focused on land, crops, water and the environment.

On Monday 7th September, the Food and Drink Federation Awards 2015 will celebrate the best and the most innovative and inspiring food and drink businesses across the UK supply chain, with the James Hutton Institute sponsoring the Environmental Leadership category.

The respected industry ceremony is a celebration of the food and drink professionals and businesses, highlighting industry excellence, rising stars and innovators. Besides Environmental Leadership, categories include Apprentice of the Year, Food and Drink Engineer of the Year, Good Employer, Growth Business, Innovation and, new to 2015, Exporter of the Year (individual) and Campaign of the Year.

The James Hutton Research Institute is the result of the merger in April 2011 of MLURI and SCRI. This merger formed a new powerhouse for research into food, land use, and climate change.
