Biography

Ewan became a chartered librarian in 1998 after completing a degree in Psychology and a postgraduate qualification in Librarianship.

Prior to joining the Hutton in January 2022, Ewan had spent the majority of his extensive library career in universities.  This included posts at the Universities of Dundee, Stirling, Abertay and most recently at St Andrews, where he was Assistant Director of Library Services.   He has also worked in the publishing services industry and the NHS.

The Library and Information Services team at the Hutton is responsible for a range of work, including the acquisition and management of digital and print collections and the development of services and systems supporting Open Science publishing.
