Gianna is a GIS Analyst at the James Hutton Institute with experience in spatial analysis and large-scale data management and manipulation. She works as part of the Land Systems Research Team which provides research and consultancy delivering analytical support to the Scottish Government and the European Commission in the fields of land use, rural sustainability and climate change. Gianna is currently involved in the Environment, natural resources and agriculture research strategy 2022 to 2027 Topic C3: Land Use

The James Hutton Research Institute is the result of the merger in April 2011 of MLURI and SCRI. This merger formed a new powerhouse for research into food, land use, and climate change.
